Biography
SungHoon Yoon is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School, working at the Harvard AI and Robotics Lab. His research focuses on generative AI and medical fairness AI, addressing bias in medical AI applications. Sung-Hoon earned his PhD from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), where he was advised by Dr. Kuk-Jin Yoon. During his PhD, he specialized in label-efficient learning for scene understanding, developing methods to alleviate annotation burdens in AI models. His research is not confined to a single domain but spans multiple areas, including autonomous driving, generative models, and foundation models. Now at Harvard Medical School, he is further expanding his expertise in fairness-aware AI foundation models for medical imaging and diffusion-based generative models.
